ant man suit

They aren’t that interesting, and their motivations are only a throwaway. There are a lot of fun moments, most of them coming when there are as many people as possible in the frame, so that we can be distracted from the empty plot, and plot devices we’re watching, but there aren’t nearly enough of them. It’s a good thing the tone here is so light, as it has to carry a very slight, very improbable, and very predictable plot. Here it’s a separate piece which pegs snugly into the hole on her back. It’s bad enough when you’re characters display their emotional underpinnings like Joey from Friends is back to teaching acting, ant man suit movie but it’s yet another level when they start telling you what they are. It comes in handy and essentially provides the Avenger with a wide-ranging colony of miniature spies who can report back to him to relay information. Evangeline Lilly comes close to stealing the show, in a part that is very poorly written.

There’s an adventure in here somewhere, but it’s part heist film, part zany caper, and is more interested in the odd spins of motivation than having anything that comes together as an ultimate plot. It ended after Jessica told Scott that she was pregnant with Luke Cage’s child, the former teammate of Scott when he was part of the Heroes for Hire team. 19 How Can the Team talk to each other without their Earpiece or Helmets? When Lang breaks into Pym’s house on a tip and discovers an old Ant-Man suit, not only does he get the surprise of his life when he puts it on, but Pym sees him as perhaps the one person he can train in the suit and use to break into Pym Tech and steal the Ant-Man technology before Cross can perfect it and sell it to the highest bidder. Now to get us excited, the first trailer and ‘ant-sized’ poster for the movie have arrived, which you can see below, along with a bit of a close-up on Paul Rudd in the poster from the latest cover of EW (click on the pics for larger versions).

Paul Rudd did tell Screen Rant that the armor he’s wearing in the sequel is brand new, which in a way makes sense considering how many different Iron Man suits Tony Stark has worn over the years. Paul Rudd has that “scruffy yet buff dude” look that has become dominant for male leads (I mistook him for Ben Affleck in Gone Girl). While he didn’t say how his suit compares to those of his compatriots across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Rudd did manage to say he’s a pretty big fan of his suit. You see, because the tiny hero still had his strength of his normal adult body, he could toss the rope around bad guys and then spin them around even while shrunken down to ant-size. Shazam!, which arrives next April, will come across as having a more direct and full link to the comedy that broke Tom Hanks out as a big movie star (and an Oscar-caliber one to boot), but ant man suit movie-Man and the Wasp certainly pays tribute during that sequence where Scott is stuck in an awkward size while wearing a blue hoodie and having to navigate his daughter’s school.

Sure they always had a sense of humour, what with wise-cracking superheroes and an awareness of their own absurdity, but with Ant-Man you get something that’s a big step toward a superhero comedy. Ant-Man is set to return in Marvel Phase 4 and we could finally get an answer to a plot point left dangling by the first movie. And the movie knows this. Because he knows you’ve already made the connection. The mask has an adjustable fit for maximum comfort and is full of authentic details making it a beautiful display piece. He has the usual problems adjusting his personal life to fit the new circumstances he finds himself in. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. After the Avengers disbanded, Hank and Janet left for England to try and make their relationship work again. Cross creates his own version of the suit called the Yellowjacket and battles Scott Lang, who was given the Ant-Man suit by Hank. I found that rather uncomfortable, but given the movie’s attitude of “it’s just a movie” it doesn’t carry any weight.
