Please join us on October 25-27, 2012 for the NACRA Annual Meeting

The 2012 meeting will be held at the Boston Marriot Quincy, in Quincy, Massachusetts. The conference will feature roundtable discussions where participants receive valuable feedback designed to help them prepare their cases for publication in refereed journals. In addition, concurrent sessions will feature topics relevant to case writers and case teachers. A recent survey of NACRA members indicated that the case roundtables at the meeting represent an unparalleled opportunity for a case author to get valuable input and direction from individuals who have taught, written, and published cases in their discipline. For the 2012 meeting, cases and symposia proposals have a deadline of June 30th, and embryo cases have a deadline of September 1st. Online submission of cases will begin on June 1st.

Cases may deal with any topic in any academic discipline where dynamic classroom discussion is useful. Cases must be original work based on real events, real people, and real organizations, and must not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere, either in journals or books. Submitted cases may also not be under simultaneous review for other conferences or publications. Cases presented in other workshops may be submitted only if they have been substantially revised since that presentation; authors should describe the case's previous history in their submittal letter.

For new case writers we will have a Newcomer's session on October 25th. Along with the Newcomer's session, authors new to the case writing process may submit two page "embryo cases" for discussion and feedback from experienced case authors. Embryo cases must be submitted directly to the track chair by September 1st, 2012

As in 2011, the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta, Canada will fund a $10,000 award for the best case presented in the Corporate Governance Track.
