North American Case Research Association (NACRA) 2010 Annual Meeting
Main Case Submission Location & Transportation Schedule of Events Registration Key Documents return to main NACRA website

NACRA’s 2010 annual conference in Gatlinburg, Tennessee will be held at the Edgewater Hotel and Conference Center, on October 28-30, 2010. The 2010 conference features roundtable discussions where all participants receive valuable feedback about their cases in a constructive atmosphere, and breakout sessions on special topics in case writing, teaching, and research. Sessions will be designed to help authors develop their work for publication in refereed journals and textbooks. Cases and papers must be original work and must not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Deadline for cases and paper/symposia submissions is Monday, June 14, 2010.

This year NACRA is transitioning to an online case submission process using a platform called ScholarOne. This will increase process efficiency and make it much easier for authors, reviewers, track chairs, etc.

Create a NACRA account NOW on ScholarONE so that you are prepared to submit cases and review for the conference:

  1. Go to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/nacra2010
  2. Click on “Create Account” located in the upper right-hand corner of the site
  3. Complete (at minimum) the required fields on Steps 1 and 2.
  4. When you get to step 3, provide a password for your account. Additionally, indicate the track(s) that you would like to be considered as a reviewer.
  5. Click Finish

To receive the early bird registration price ($100 off) for the conference, register by September 15, 2010.

The schedule for the conference is now available online and in PDF.

We will also have a Newcomers workshop intended for faculty and graduate students new to the case writing process, as well as a special track for assistance with embryo cases; the deadline for embryo cases is September 1, 2010.

The Edgewater Hotel offers classic Tennessee hospitality within the shadows of the magnificent Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Perched on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, the Edgewater is a great location for hiking along 800 miles of trails in the Smokies or visiting the numerous area attractions that redefine "family friendly" and "kid friendly." Guests also are close to golf courses and Dollywood, the amusement park operated by country-music legend and local girl Dolly Parton. The Edgewater is located 12 miles from Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport and 30 miles from McGhee-Tyson International Airport in Knoxville, Tenn.

Please contact Jeffrey Shay with questions about the conference, but contact the appropriate track chair for questions about your case submittal.
